Hedgehog summery 

This is my writing we had to look for a animal and there defence and how they hunt for food and the we highlighted words we do not know in yellow and the main ideas in purple we also need to do a summery about the animal we have chosen and use firstly,secondly and thirdly in our summery.

 

Hedgehogs are cute animals but they can also hurt you when you touch them. To protect them self from prey they normally curl up like a ball and point their spikes out to defend them from their predators. And they also are very helpful for gardens because they eat all the slugs and snails in your garden.

This is my summery about Hedgehogs.

Firstly, hedgehogs are cute animals and secondly, its well known for its spikes thirdly, when a hedgehog is being attacked it curls up like a ball and its spikes stick out leaving anything trying to eat it get spiked. Lastly, they love to eat snails and slugs in gardens.

Sparrow 

The bird I chose as my mascot is a sparrow. I chose a sparrow because that type of bird is small and has some disadvantages; however, they have a big heart, are always doing the impossible and they will do anything for their young ones.

  

What does a sparrow symbolise? It symbolises joy, protection and can also resemble simplicity and community. They are also hard workers and engage in team work.

Why would this bird be a good mascot for me? I think it would be a great mascot for me because it resembles some of my qualities like I'm a hard worker, I'm good at teamwork and I strive for better.

Where does my bird originate from? Sparrows originated from the Middle East and spread with agriculture across Eurasia and North Africa and are now world wide.

How many years/months can my bird live up to? A sparrow can live up to 3 years and maybe 4 if they get food and water everyday.

What are some of the sparrows' prey? As a lot of sparrows their main predators are a sparrowhawk.
